iPro Max Professional Lavalier Microphone

1 comment:

  1. UPDATE: I recently used the iPro Max do record some video with a Bluetooth selfie-stick and my iPhone 5s. There was some occasional, noisy feedback in the audio that I noticed after playing the videos. You will notice it in an some upcoming videos that I will be posting.

I did a little research and found out what I had suspected. Our phones are mini transmitters and receivers that perform a variety of functions in order to provide us with all the services that we use, such as e-mail, location services, messaging, Bluetooth, etc. Depending on our phone settings, a lav-mic will act as an antenna when our phone periodically transmits or receives the small bits of radiation that makes these services possible.

My current plan: I will be recording some videos using various settings on my iPhone to identify the culprit by process of elimination. Often, I use trail navigation apps on my phone while recording video, so I am going to try to use the mic in "airplane mode", which will still allow my to use GPS. I will also try it with the GPS off, to see if the Bluetooth radio waves are the problem. Once I am pretty sure of the culprit, I will follow-up with another update to this review.
